From Flemish Bloc to Flemish Interest

Flemish Bloc was a Flemish nationalist party who wanted an independent Flanders (including Brussels).

Flemish Bloc has been banned by a court arrest following a conviction, on the charge of racism, of three non-profit organizations linked to the former party. The party programme has been touched up and a new name, Flemish Interest (Vlaams Belang), chosen on 11 November 2004.
